Horrible! Not even sure how this place can be in business. The whole hotel smelled so bad, the furniture in our room had stains all over it, everything looked dirty and disgusting in the room and the halls. We all noticed bug bites all over us after sleeping there. It was gross. The parking lot looked very shady and unsafe. The staff was pleasant but that is the only good thing they have going for them. Do not stay here.
I rarely give ratings but this place was awful. Our non smoking room reeked of smoke. Everything was very worn, some of the bedding was ripped. The plug to the hairdryer was coming apart so the wires were exposed. The toilet was clogged and all they did was hand us a plunger and told is to leave it outside our door when we were done with it. There was a big bug in the bathroom that looked like some type of roach. And when we left they didn't even ask how our stay was or anything. And when I told him about the bug and everything he just said he would send someone in there. No apology or anything.
The location looked questionable the moment we parked. Did not seem welcoming. We went into the building (which smelled filthy) and we were received by a non-professional lobby personal (Didn't seem to like his job at all). We got our card keys and went into our room.... - ripped curtains - stains on wall - dust on furniture - dirty tub - paint peeling off the wall - hair blow dryer didn't work - beds made too much noise As for breakfast area: Not welcoming to guests. Also a little messed up that the kitchen employee couldn't even get a cup of coffee from the bar. She had to bring her own food. Only reason why I even stayed was because I was a guest at a wedding they held. But other that that I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN!
Overall, the stay was pleasant. There was an issue at the front desk when we arrived. We booked our rooms online, we booked two two-bed rooms, however when we arrived, they only had us booked in one room. There was 7 of us, so that was a problem. The guy at the front desk was very courteous, he apologized for the mix up, and managed to get us another room for a similar rate. The rooms were relatively clean, could use a little attention though. The free breakfast consisted of cereal, donuts, waffles and bagels. They also had milk, orange juice, and coffee. The lady running the cafeteria was very friendly. It appeared that they were remodeling, but overall it looked nice.
Yuck. We knew what we we're getting when we booked the place online so we didn't expect to be surprised. I understand that those who have pets may have to drop the standard and get whatever they can but those with options should choose somewhere else. Reading the reviews I'm wondering who is leaving the positives and how this place isn't down to one star. We got here at dusk and it doesn't look like it's in the best of areas in town. Lots of seemingly sketchy activity going on out in the parking lot and I feel dirty and complicit just being here. However it is convenient to the highway and the staff was nice. Kudos for that.....but that's all. The place is just a dump hands down. It's in very bad shape, paint is coming off the walls and ceiling, it's dirty, bugs and spiders in the room, and it's just run down. There is a giant red heart shaped jacuzzi tub in the room surrounded by mirrors that I dare not go near. Picked the place on price but please do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else.
