There were a number of maintenance issues with the room:
3. Mildew smell coming from the AC.
2. NO BATHTUB STOPPER
- Most seriously, there was no working smoke detector. It was wrapped in plastic, new condition, in a dresser drawer. This violates state law, I believe.
- Bed headboard had fallen, showing holes in the wall
Update : I received a phone call on today (Sunday Dec 31, 2017 ) from the motel. They refunded me $5.00 to my card for the inconvenience.....WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE OR ADVISE ANYONE ELSE TO STAY HERE....A COMPLETE JOKE.
The staff were very professional and extremely friendly. I booked online through Google maps. The price was good.
5. Felt like I was seriously getting in the way of the "hostess'" personal phone call.
- Two of the three lamps didn't work
Once in the room I opened the bed and the sheets had stains on them. I did not see any hair so I assumed they had been washed but we just old. When I went in for a shower, the towels were very stained and possibly unwashed. There was a large amount of mold on the ceiling and around the toilet. There was not any shampoo or conditioner offered. The hot water ran out after 3 or 4 minutes of showing. Glad I had all of my own supplies like sleeping bag towels and toiletries.
2. A giant hole in the wall where the vent used to be in the bathroom.
- Missing towel bar in the bathroom. Led to housekeepers not leaving full size towels in the room. Had to dry off with a hand towel.
The towel bar next to the sink was missing. The toilet base was cracked and there were small holes in the wall across from the bed. We saw this after we went to the desk 5 times as the keys would not work. Always liked motel 6 but this could be my last stay. If we hadn't driven so far we would have looked elsewhere. The only reason we stayed was it was dark now and we were exhausted.
- Unreliable hot water. It suddenly went cold during my shower 3-4 times.
- Loose floor tiles, caused me to trip once
- Sink drain was very slow

Does Motel 6 have any minimum standards? With a nationwide brand, you'd expect that you wouldn't need to sleep on top of the covers. But this place was an absolute dump! Motel 6 should be ashamed that their name is on it!!!
1st stay here AND LAST STAY HERE....
When I informed the desk clerk of these things he states " there is nothing I can do about these things. We are a 1 star hotel " They are reasonably priced for a reason....AND NO BREAKFAST
3. NO IRONING BOARD
4. Worst "lobby" you could imagine.
The room had 1 fixture missing in the ceiling, no cover on the bathroom light, the light switch to turn on the lights when you entered was broken
