and "accessible" bathrooms are tubs with grab bars. I was unable to transfer from a wheelchair because the bathroom was just too small. The receptionist was great, though. Breakfast was okay.
Desk host "announced" my room # at check-in, there were several construction guest waiting in lobby & then proceeded to tell me exactly where "room 126" was located in the complex ! I worked in the hotel industry for 20yrs & would have provided a strong warning & additional training to this agent.. the coffee in the breakfast area was terrible & the host had no personality or manners. I will add that the bed was comfortable but the shower curtain rod was hanging by a thread. The room rate & value was good.
No internet, and very sketchy. Some of the doors you pass down the hall don't even have door knobs. The bathroom doors don't shut. And the doors to outside don't lock. But you get what you pay for, and the price is right.
Clean. Good mattresses. Old. Very thin walls (we could clearly hear a child's wet cough in the next room. Not to mention the loud voices at 6:00 am)
It the hotel deserves our business, then it will ensure its staff will thoroughly prepare the hotel's exterior environment and rooms with safety and cleanliness. Moreover, retrain their staff upon any complaints about them. Quality Inn did not meet our expectations and we lost our money to them.
Walking into the lobby it seemed nice enough. I ran my credit card and it said approved but the lady tried to get me to run it again. I found this suspicious so pulled my transactions and proved it was paid. That was handled. Went to the room. Walking down the hallway all I could smell was smoke (supposedly nonsmoking). Once in our room we noticed there was a funny smell but just chalked it up to “old hotel” smell. The room looked clean enough but the bathroom needs work. Moldy looking. We were only going to be there to sleep so I let it go. Morning breakfast was okay. We cleaned our room and checked out. Half way home we got a phone call from “Billy” (the shifty counter guy) telling us that we stole all the sheets, pillow cases and towels and he was charging us $350. I almost died of shock at this ridiculous nonsense. I called back and defended my family only to be dismissed. I explained that there is something fishy going on here (I believe there is a bit of a drug problem going on there). I even threatened to go to the police (I still may). After he told me to do what I must I called customer service who simply said (after being on hold 20 min) that they only do reservations and that the quality inns are privately owened...I should call them. DO NOT STAY HERE! I do not know how the other Quality Inns are but stay away from the one in Rock Hill SC. After all this and having to cancel my credit card I have learned my lesson! Shady customers and shady staff along with questionable rooms is what awaits you here.
