Please read the reviews before joining this gym. They DO NOT tell you that you have the option of a month to month agreement when you sign up and DO NOT tell you it is nearly impossible to get out of your contract if something should come up.
Very clean pool and a huge variety of equipment. You can watch movies and your own personal tv on your workout machine. The staff are awesome and the locker rooms and very clean. I'm on a 7 day pass but I will be on a full membership because I find it better when I can grunt to push myself harder. Who goes to a gym to be quiet? How do you motivate yourself if you don't see others who look good. It pushes you harder... Therefore I will be there in Jan.
I love gold's of rock hill. The staff is amazing and the equipment is great. I recommend a my friends to join gold's. It's has a family atmosphere that is also really col. The front desk associates are very friendly and helpful.
I stopped in a travel pass and I must say that this gym is great. The staff was very friendly. The manager Qaden took time to show me around on my first visit. At my home gym, I take classes routinely, and it was nice to take Body Pump and not miss a beat. I forgot the instructor's name but she was very upbeat and friendly. The locker room was clean and I loved the cardio cinema. The staff made me feel welcome. I will definitely stop back if I am ever visiting here again
If you have a medical issue, which I did, you have to have documentation from a doctor stating that you have a permanent disability on a letterhead in order to cancel. You read that right. I am not joking.
12/14/17 UPDATE: I placed a complaint with corporate and the Better Business Bureau the day after this incident. Gold's Gym has yet to respond to my complaint in any way. They have still yet to cancel my membership or give me any reasonable option to solve this problem. The manager rudely stated during the previously mentioned conversation that if I felt that the monthly fee was too much to pay (despite not being able to use the gym), that I should consider filing for bankruptcy. This is no way to treat a customer, or for that matter, another human being.

Love working out here. Friendly staff and nice gym. I have never had a problem here and joined to use for a year at minimum as per contract. Best part is the kids center and ability to work out with kiddos close by.
I am struggling both medically and financially right now. I called the manager and spoke to him. I said that I felt mislead and that the contract was operating in a predatory manner. From that point on, he questioned my responsibility, if I had other debts and problems, if this were a trend, etc. At one point he even mocked what I said and said "Well, we're predatory and that's what we do."
I wish I read the reviews before joining. This place is cold and terrible. I will never step foot in another Gold's and I hope everyone reading this takes heed and does not either. They will do everything they can to get you trapped in a contract you cannot get out of.
**Stating the obvious, most gyms have a year contract that you can't just get out of with a BS excuse**
He had no sympathy for my situation whatsoever and was rude to the point of being cruel. He told me that he could not cancel my membership. I asked him who could that I could talk to. He said that was him but that he wouldn't do it.
With that said, don't just rely on reviews. Actually go in and get a tour and determine if you like it for yourself. We all have different needs and wants when it comes to gyms. Also people like to post negative reviews when they don't get their way as you will see on here.
