The Anytime Fitness in York is always extremely clean.
I just left there... the bathrooms have huge plumbing problems. One had no flush handle and the second was fill with feces...disgusting...I never got to the third one...grossed out!
I have been a member of this gym for 4 years. It is a shame that the condition of the gym has gone down. The membership fees are a little higher than the gyms around, so when the condition of the equipment, and the upkeep for the gym itself started to worsen; I find myself questioning whether I want to continue my membership. It is convenient to have the 24 hour access, but not at the cost of not having newer or at the very least well maintained equipment.
Shady business practices if you ask me. I moved to MA from SC. I was not let out of my contract because there is a Anytime Fitness less than 35 miles from my new address - that's almost an hour drive each way. After I asked, Avery told me I last used the facility on 11/9/14 and the contract ended 6/6/16. I told him it seemed unreasonable. He said to me "You owe the money so pay the fee's". I paid for the rest of the contract. That won't ever happen again. Be careful of the "renewing contract". Unless you have written proof of cancellation 30 days prior to the expiration date you are locked in for another year. Worst part was they sent my contract to a collection agency - if not paid it would have decreased my excellent credit score.

This was a pretty good gym when I went there a couple years ago. Friendly trainers. They were renovating when I left so I'd be interested to know how it's changed.
