I have used AAA in the past two times before and was satisfied enough to use them a third time but now, I feel like I was taken advantage of. Now I'm out $90 and need to find a different company to diagnose and fix the issue. I feel like the "boss" who was on the other side of the phone just made up a number and I had no choice.
Still trying to figure out what my "service program" actually covered... Not worth the money or headache!
This company is a joke! Had work done under the house that required piping be switched out from old copper to pex pipe (pin hole leaks). Technician not only managed to switch the lines (hot labeled as cold and vice versa) he left all the "left overs" including the old copper lines. When calling to have it resolved, I was all but called a liar and they will not fix it! Its funny that if they found out their toilets were being ran off their hot water line, they would be pretty upset about it as well and would want it fixed!
EDIT: 2 STARS TO 1
I was told he would send a new plumber to go over what the issue was and there would be no charge. Okay. The morning of my appointment, the tank alarm goes off again indicating the septic tank is full. I did aome electrical teating on the junction box before the plumber had arrived and found the wire nut had come loose that runs the pump. Pit the wire nut back on and guess what....pump works great and haven't had an issue for 2 weeks now. Problem solved...on my own.
That still didn't stop the plumber from attempting to redo the pump, electrical and floats at an estimate of $1800. I priced a new pump, $318. When the old pump dies, I know I'll be saving over $1400.
Angelo is awesome and a true professional! He quickly diagnosed the problem, discussed options, and got it fixed within no time. I would highly recommend Angelo to any of my family, friends, and/or coworkers.
After leaving my review, I was contacted by the owner who said my review was unfair. He explained the service fee is for "plumbing" services, not "septic". No where in the ad I read did it mention septic is seperate nor did the receptionist say anything when I specifically asked her about the fee. But I'm "unfair"?
Excellent! Shawn is an awesome plumber. He came in and immediately went to work trying to figure out the weird sound coming from the pipes in my house. He figured out the problem and fixed it very quickly. If you need a skilled and professional plumber, Shawn, is the best!
Now that I know I have a pump/float issue, I would have used AAA to fix it but $90 is excessive for a service call. I did read in an advertisement that a $35 service call was waived (which I asked the receptionist about prior to setting up the appointment) and she said it was. How does a service call go from $35 to $90?
Great company and fast service! Highly recommend them to anyone.
The only thing that kept a rating of 1 star was the Tech who came to the house. Had it not been for him, it would be 1.
The service techs that showed up were on time, professional and courteous. After pulling the lid the tech was honest and told me the tank was in fact already empty and gave me possible reasons why my pump alarm kept going off. His crew of two had only been there 5 minutes but was told by his boss that I was to still be charged $89.99!! What?
I had an appointment between 12pm and 2pm but was woken up at 7:30am from strangers in my backyard. Apparently, each city utility has to mark where each line is prior to sumping a septic tank even though I told the receptionist the tank has a riser above ground and is easily accessible.
