And service was excellent! Gabe was attentive and genuine. Had our food out fast, refilled drinks without us asking, and stopped by to check on us a couple minutes after dropping meals..just right time to ensure we cut into our steaks but not enough to leave us hanging if there had been a problem. Courteous, friendly and helpful, but was mindful of service, just what you want in a server.
I have never written a review before, but LongHorn Steakhouse is worth it. First off the staff was great, the perfect example of what I think of when the phrase 'Souther Hospitality' comes up. Attentive, quick and accurate, exactly what I would want in a wait staff. The steak was perfectly cooked, so tender and juicy I don't think that I've had anything better. There is a saying that a good steak doesn't need any steak sauce, I feel it would be an insult to this steak to have any sauce in the same zip code. I truly thought that I had reached flavor nirvana... That is until I had dessert. I didn't just order a cheesecake I order a little slice of divine heaven. It's one of the most beautiful and delicious things I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. 5 out of 5 would travel halfway across the country for again.
Have not been to a Longhorn in many years, because last time was a terrible value. Pricey for average food and service.
The steak was cooked perfect. I ordered medium well and it was very tender. We ordered the onion app and it was delicious. The sauce was a bit tangy to me though. We had a salad and loaded baked potato. Our server was very attentive and on point. It was a great experience.
Finally decided to give them another go, and glad we did! Same decor and ambiance, and still a little pricey for what you get, but the food quality was much better. Steaks were flavorful and cooked perfectly to order (medium and medium rare). Broccoli was bright green and steamed just right, tender yet crisp without being mushy, and just enough garlicky butter to give it a nice taste without being drenched in unnecessary fat. Salad was cold with some mixed greens, nice upgrade to just iceberg.
Overall good experience. Still a little on the price side I think, but certainly a much better value now. Hope all the locations are now like this one. Would certainly go back again if the opportunity arises.
Outstanding personnel, but Oh My, Someone dropped the Pepper on the Steak. It seems like the flavors are getting more pepper with each visit. (I actually love pepper) We may actually start looking into other steak dinning places. Meat was rather tough this visit.
I'm sure we'll visit again, may opt into a different section of the menu though.
I just went to Longhorn's for a quick lunch. I ordered the Strawberry Salad and asked for if they could put a little more chicken on the salad. I also got a small cup of potato soup and a drink. After the salad arrived I had no dressing on it nor did it have the candied pecans on it. Had to ask for both and was told they had a new salad person. When I got the bill it was 30 dollars. With tip it wound up being 35.00 dollars. When the manager spoke to me she said the prices are listed and I should have noticed. What is not on the menu is the price for extra chicken...mind you I only thought it would be a small amount. Apparently they charge just like it's another entree. Won't be going back.
