The isles are almost too narrow for carts going both ways, so if someone is stopped and you need past, good luck. The lighting was pretty dim, it gave me a headache, but maybe I'm just a wimp. It also wasn't very clean, there were piles of boxes in some of the isles blocking them completely, shelves were a mess in many places and the floors had an impressive accumulation of grime. Finally getting what we needed and escaping was the highlight of our trip.
This store is the worst - filthy restrooms, rude staff, poorly stocked. The Supercenter in Newport is much better.
I honestly have to buy at this store because it's the closest Walmart store to me, but the disappointment never stops when I place a pickup "today" order at this location. They first send an email saying that the item will be ready for pickup at a certain hour, then 10 hours go by, still don't get an email saying that the order is now ready, so decide to walk in to check the status, well as always they actually do not have the item im stock, but the inventory was not updated as so. Then they cancel the order and refund you 10 days later and ask you as if they haven't done anything wrong, to purchase the product at another. I have given them 4 chances, and every single time, same result DO NOT DO A PICKUP TODAY ONLINE ORDER TO PICK UP @ THIS LOCATION, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
Stayed here overnight in an RV and it was a pleasant experience. Noise relatively low, parking lot flat, Wal-Mart decently equipped with RV supplies, and cheap Murphy gas in the same lot. The store appeared clean and with fresh food.
New layout makes it difficult to navigate the health and beauty area. Aisles are also too narrow to easily pass others and look at merchandise.
