I can't speak for buying a bike, but if you need bicycle repairs in Tickets Hill, SC you are far better off just going to Walmart for a new bike.
All in all it was a 0 out of 10 experience, and it's a shame I can't give zero star ratings. The owner, while acting nice, practically extorts you for a higher sale, and doesn't even do the job right.
I stressed to the guy that my bike was my only way to work, he said he would could in Sunday to work on it. Called store multiple times and no answer. He is closed for New Years tomorrow so I now won’t receive my bike until Tuesday. He completely lied to me about the time frame and is charging me 91 dollars for new gears and a chain. It’s a 120 dollar bike....I have no choice because it is the only place in walking distance and I have to get to work
Great bike shop own by a guy that really understands the bicycle world right now and then.
I love how companies profile individuals... lying about the time it will take to complete a service just to run a check to see if a bike is stolen. A 10min job but you tell customers 2 hrs so you can run a check on the bike. Don't assume someone stole something just because you think they don't fit your description of a person that could own a bike worth 3k. #Racists
Took bike in to replace gear shifters. 4 months in and I couldn't get used to how bad they were & how off adjustments were. Took to another shop who redid and felt that knock-off components were used with the Shimano sticker applied.
I went to get a tire fixed on my bike around two weeks ago. The person in charge basically forced me to buy two new tires and new brakes or he wouldn't fix my bike. Seeing as this is the only place within walking distance (my bicycle is my mode of transportation) I'm forced to agree, and almost end up paying around the same amount as a new bike from Walmart. When I finally get my bike back it turns out that while my tires and brakes were indeed replaced, but now my bike chain and gears shifts refused to work properly, so I had to walk back to the shop for another fix. Well fast forwards a few more days and lo and behold, one of my 'new' tires pops open because as it turns out, the wrong sized tires were installed because the larger tires cost more for me to buy than the actual ones I needed.
